ELIGIBILITY

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION
Degree in any discipline or its equivalent with any class/division OR 10+2 examination or its equivalent with 50% or more for General Category Candidate

RELAXATION FOR SC/ST/XS/PC CANDIDATES: - Pass in 10+2.
NOTE:- (a) All educational qualifications should be from a Recognised University / Board.
(b) Candidates should know to read, write and speak the language of the State for which they are applying.

AGE – (AS ON 01.11.2008)
Minimum age– 18 years
Maximum age –28 years i.e. Born between 01/11/1980 and 01/11/1990 (both days 1 inclusive)


RELAXATION IN UPPER AGE LIMIT :
SC/ST 5 years VH/HI/OC 10 years
OBC 3 years XS 3 years (in addition to the usual period of service in the Defence forces subject to a
maximum age of 50 years)

Widows, divorced women and women judicially separated from their husbands, who have not remarried
9 years.

Persons ordinarily domiciled in the Kashmir Division of the Sate of Jammu and Kashmir during the period from
1.1.80 to 31.12.89 5 years. (Certificate to this effect from the competent authority should be enclosed.)

NOTE: In case of a candidate who is eligible for relaxation under more than one of the above categories, the age relaxation will be available on cumulative basis with any one of the remaining categories for which age relaxation is permitted as mentioned above. This cumulative age relaxation is available to SC/ST/OBC candidates only.

COMPUTER LITERACY - The basic knowledge in operating computer systems in Windows mode, knowledge of MS-Word/Office, Spread Sheets like MS-Excel and Internet & Email familiarity is an essential qualification which a candidate must either possess before joining the bank services or acquire the same within a period of 6 months of joining the bank, in case the candidate is selected for appointment. For this purpose, the candidate is required to submit a certificate in support of this computer related qualification.
SELECTION PROCEDURE


The selection will be on the basis of written test and interview. All eligible candidates will be called for a written examination, which will be both Objective and Descriptive in nature.

DESCRIPTIVE TEST
It will consist of 4 questions out of which the candidates are required to attempt 3 questions only. The test will be of 60 marks (i.e. 20 marks for each question). Time duration for the test will be 45 minutes.

Graduates at the start of the scale in Clerical Cadre will be Rs.7754/- in Metro cities. Other benefits include Medical Aid, LFC and Retirement benefits etc. as per bank's rules.
